Padre Pio Healing miracle

St. Padre Pio Testimony

Written by Christine Bryant

In July 2022, my sister-in-law Debbie Sue was diagnosed with stage 4 ovarian cancer. She was faced with so many emotions, decisions & uncertainties.

We both knew that prayer was the one thing we had control of! I am Catholic & Debbie Sue is a Christian who is not a member of a certain faith. I was visiting Debbie Sue one day when she told me that she was a worrier & came from a long line of worriers. She said she was doing her best not to worry & that prayer was definitely helping. I told her about how Catholics ask the saints to pray for us in the same way we ask anyone else to pray for us. I said let’s google Saints to pray through for worry. St. Padre Pio’s saying “Pray, Hope & Don’t Worry” appeared on my screen! We both said- He’s the one! We then read his most beautiful healing prayer!

On September 22, 2022, the St. Padre Pio relics came to Immaculate Conception Church, Clarksville TN. I knew this was not a coincidence. I came to see his relics but Debbie Sue could not since she had started chemo treatments & could not be around others. I got a beautiful prayer card & a bracelet for her. I touched both of them to the relics. We prayed the prayer every day!! On days that we could see each other, we would pray the prayer together! I could feel St. Padre Pio’s presence there with us. Debbie Sue has worn the bracelet every single day- with the exception of the day she had surgery! She tried to wear it on that day too but the doctor would not let her!

St. Padre Pio has been with us every day of this journey. He was holding Debbie Sue’s hand on the days she wondered how much more she could take- chemo, hair loss, nausea, exhaustion, surgery… He was holding her hand on the days she was feeling a little better, a lot better, when her hair started growing back when her strength & endurance came back, and on January 9, 2023, when her doctor told her she was cancer-free!

On September 16, 2023, the St. Padre Pio relics came back to Immaculate Conception Church, Clarksville TN and this time Debbie Sue was able to attend with me! It was the most joyous day!

“Pray, Hope & Don’t Worry”.
